Lisa is an experienced, articulate, provocative media guest with a mission to "make it easier for you to live a balanced and successful life." She is a sought after expert on the issues relating to work-life balance, particularly for women and working parents.
Her media appearances feature lots of tips and techniques, just-in-time coaching and audience participation. Lisa is a work-life expert for several Internet and print publications. She has been noted and quoted in regional and national media outlets including Chatelaine Magazine, Glow Magazine, Homemakers Magazine, Canadian Living Magazine, Woman's World, the Vicki Gabereau Show, the Province, Globe & Mail and CBC Radio, to name a few.
Through her personal experience of having a child mid-career and from years of coaching working moms, Lisa is all too familiar with the tug-of-war and challenges of work-life balance.
Her 'aha' moment arrived on the eve of her son's second birthday when exhausted and frustrated she still faced baking the cake (one of her least favorite things to do). When her husband proposed that his sister bake the cake instead, she realized that she, and working mothers everywhere, could have their cake and eat it, too.
This cake-having, cake-eating business inspired Lisa to spend the next three years researching, testing and writing Briefcase Moms: 10 Proven Practices to Balance Working Mothers' Lives.
Lisa lives what she writes and talks about. She is the mother of a six year-old son, a professional certified coach with 20 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience, and the founder and president of Briefcase Moms®.
She lives in Vancouver, Canada, with her husband and son.
